Developed with Blitzsch quality, the BLIPOX NOVA 168 series is an epoxy-phenolic novolac-based coating that provides long-lasting protection on steel and properly prepared concrete surfaces exposed to aggressive chemicals (including phosphoric acid). Its high solids content allows it to meet low VOC targets, extend maintenance intervals, and support operational continuity.
Why BLIPOX NOVA 168?
- Strong chemical barrier: High level of resistance to phosphoric acid, organic/acidic environments.
- Long service life: Resistance to corrosion and wear; reduces maintenance costs.
- High solids, low VOC: Thicker and more homogeneous film, compliance with environmental regulations.
- Fast and practical application: controlled layering with airless, roller or brush; quick commissioning.
- Blitzsch assurance: Pre-project survey, right system selection, technical field support and fast delivery.
Where is it used?
- Chemical process lines and auxiliary plant equipment
- Acid storage/transfer areas, steel tank exteriors
- Refinery, fertilizer, mining and water treatment plants
- Steel structures open to port, offshore and marine atmosphere
- Floor and concrete barrier coatings after appropriate surface preparation
Application summary guide
Proper surface preparation (degreasing, patin/oxide removal, and roughening) is essential. The two-component structure ensures easy and repeatable mixing in the field. Pay attention to the intervals between coats and cure confirmation; film thickness, surface continuity (holiday test), and adhesion checks should be performed before commissioning. Our technical team will work with you to finalize the primer-intermediate-finish combination for your project.
